A beautiful piece of artist signed hand crafted Southwestern Style Pottery. It is a hand built Vase, likely a wheel turned piece which has been shaped to be asymmetrical. Accented with differant types of "cane", raffia and disc shaped beads. Stick decorated on each of the panels that form the exterior of the piece. The decoration and the overall appearance is tribal. To me it appears to be a contemporary interpretation of much earlier traditional wares of Native American heritage. I do not know with certainty that it is a made in the USA piece - could be from other parts of the Americas.

It is an estate find and I do not know who the artist is, the origin of the piece or the age of it. However, it does not appear to be older than 20-30 years of age. The artist signature is not legible to me nor can I tell if there is a date/year included in the signature.

Please, view photos of the signature.

The piece is in excellent condition and does not appear to have been used for anything except as a decorative item. There is no damage or loss.

The vessel does not hold water - it is pierced where the attachment points are for the raffia and bead accents.

It measures approximately 6-1/2" tall by approximately 7-1/2" wide at the base.
