Platinum Bands Multiple 1950s Glassware Sherbet Stems Set of 8 MCM RADIOBAR UNK 1178
Sometimes you come across things that are hard to pass up. This is one of those things.
A set of 8 Stemmed Sherbet Glasses or Stems made in the 1940s or 1950s in this modern design of paneled glass and multiple fine lines or bands encircling the top rim. The bands are platinum which is the same color as silver but it does not tarnish. The foot of the glasses also have a platinum trim.
The glassware is in very good condition without chips, cracks or repairs. The platinum shows very little sign of wear but there is some wear of the fine lines on some of the glasses. One of them has a "bump" on the rim that is liely a production flaw. I still think they are gorgeous and deserve a second loving home. Is your home going to be it?
The pattern has not been identified according to a crystal stemware identification guide by Bob Page and Dale Frederiksen pg. 334; there is a photo of the stem on this page and it has number UNK 1178; you can also view the pattern on their replacements site.
Measurements: 4-5/8" tall, 3-1/2" top diameter, 2-7/8" base diameter.
Please, before you buy this cool retro stemware from the mid century consider that it shows minor wear commensurate with age. The stemware does not have a return option.
I think you will be very happy with this glassware - and I will wrap and box it carefully to ensure safe transit.
