Rare Pair Old Vintage Thonet Style Bentwood Triangular Seat Stools Chairs MCM
We are excited to be able to offer this pair of stunning Thonet Style Bentwood Chairs or Stools. They are vintage circa 1920 to 1940.
The chairs are not marked or labeled - it looks like a paper sticker was on the bottom of the chairs originally - a little paper left but nothing legible.
The seats are triangular which is so rare and Art Deco that these chairs are sure to draw compliments and interest in any room you choose to put them. They are very graphic, reminiscent of the art and cafe scene in Europe's Capitals Paris, Vienna, Berlin and more during the good times before WWII.
The chairs are bentwood chairs. They have the most wonderful patina - some darker black stain or paint, some brown and or grey wood behind it. Most of the finish worn off at the back of the chairs where a person's hands would touch when moving the chairs.
These chairs or stools are very dainty and would not be a good idea for a person who is looking for a heavy duty chair.
The chairs would be a very good idea for a smaller appartment, condo, loft or studio where space is limited - they would serve well in an eat-in kitchen with a small table for one or two people.
The chairs would also work extremely well in a bedr
oom or bathroom as a vanity stool or dressing chair.
Finally they would be great in a childs room.
