Rare Cylindrical Dresser Perfume Jar Limoges France AK CD Antique Vintage 1900
A beautiful little rare and unusual Cylindrical Jar with a lid that fits from Limoges, France. It is marked with the AK CD mark as shown in the photos. This stands for the company that made the jar circa 1900-1910 namely A. Klingenberg and Charles Dwenger.
You are looking at an antique porcelain jar, not a newer piece, not a reproduction. It is actually over 100 years old.
The jar is decorated with large pink or red roses on a white and green background with gold accents.
The jar is in excellent antique condition without damage or repairs. The gold is intact - meaning in excellent condition.
The jar measures 3-1/4" tall with 1-1/2" diameter base. The jar is cylindrical which means that it does not taper - it is like a tube with a bottom and a lid.
It is a stunning and rare item which was probably made for a grooming type item, a perfume, a scent, a lotion etc. I don't know what the exact purpose was.
